A rather late in the evening post from us here at The Green Carnation Prize, however, after our chair, Simon Savidge, tweeted about what he called “one of the most beautiful and moving pieces of writing” we read it, agreed, and wanted to share it with you. So without further ado please go and read ‘Why I Won’t Be Buried With The Rest of My Family’ by Shelley Silas, just be prepared for the emotional effect it will have on you!
