This morning five separate shouts of jubilation could be heard as each of The Green Carnation Prize judges were awoken to post men bearing gifts. Yes that’s right only a few days since the launch of The Green Carnation Prize 2010 submissions have ALREADY started arriving from some very keen publishers, and we are of course thrilled.

Due to rules and regulations we can’t state what the titles were, but it has pleased us no end to see that that people are getting involved. Paul Magrs, Chair of the prize, said ‘getting the first titles makes it feel like it’s all getting underway’ and indeed it is, and this is only the very start.
